At first, I was worried about stepping into the shoes of a delegate; I kept wondering if I would be able to raise the placard, deliver my speech, and compare myself to other countries. Last year, during IMUN, I had too much anxiety. This year, I was able to make my voice heard. I spent three unforgettable days, full of excitement and surprises. Although IMUN is apparently short, the lessons it gives you are eternal, as are the emotions it makes you feel and the people you meet. This experience made me realize that it doesn’t matter which country you represent, it’s important to stay true to your values, to be determined, persuasive and to propose yourself from the beginning. IMUN helped me to believe in myself more, to not back down, to take risks. I am still amazed at the goals I achieved, the constant commitment, I don’t know how much time I spent looking for the necessary information, preparing my speech and repeating it over and over again… But in the end it was worth it. Thank you for challenging me, for encouraging me to give my best even though I know I can do more, thank you for enriching me and giving me the opportunity to live a unique and unforgettable experience.
